Here is what I want you to write in your daily journal. Keep track of what you eat, and how much you eat. Don’t cheat! If you are going to tell little fibs in your journal you are going to cheat your self and you will not succeed in your diet. So make sure you write everything down. If you will have problems with remembering what you eat keep a small notebook in your pocket, this will make it easy for you to pull out and write down what your meal consist of. Step 1 is pretty simple but is a necessary step in keeping to your diet plan on track and living a happy healthy life.

When going grocery shopping there are some steps to take to help prevent you from wasting money and/or buying food that you do not need or is not part of your program. Make a list this is number one. Write down what you need to purchase when you go grocery shopping. This will help keep you from buy unnecessary food especially junk food (food high in fat and calories). Also do not go shopping while you are hungry. This is one of the worst times to go shopping for groceries. You will be more likely to purchase snacks that are not part of your diet. Or even grab a snack on the go that you can eat in the car on the way home.

Set goals, that’s right set goals. How can you get somewhere with out knowing where you are going. Not only set goals but set realistic goals, ones that will not be too unattainable. For example you don’t want to set your goal to loose 25 lbs in one week. Lets say you want to loose 30 lbs, instead of saying you want to loose 30 lbs in 3 weeks how about make it 6 weeks. Set your goal to loose 5 lbs a week this will make the task a lot simpler and easy to follow the program that you choose. Goal setting is important for many things in life. You would not start a business without having a business plan which is a set of goals, or start saving money without having a budget which like a business plan is a set of goals. Stick to your goals, but if you go off path don’t beat yourself up to much, just reset or re-adjust your future goals.
