A treadmill offers various resistance levels and you can exercise and burn the extra calories of your body. Running and jogging do put pressure on your joints and if you don’t have a warm up session then you can get hurt. A warm up hardly requires 5-10 minutes but it will prepare you for a treadmill workout session. Most people prefer stretching exercises for stretching which is pretty easy as well.

The best treadmill warm up exercise include stretching your arms and feet because running will put pressure on your joints. Exercising on treadmills without a warm up session can be harsh on your knees and can even cause a serious injury. Stretching will actually allow your joints to move to the fullest of range which enhances the muscular strength and the cardiovascular endurance. Stretching will make the muscles around the joints flexible which will reduce the chances of injuries while running on a treadmill. Stretching muscles will not cause any sort of injury but will help in enhancing the muscle strength. Warm may consist of various movements and there is no specific work out for everyone.

You should stretch your body untill you have a light sweat on your body. In beginning you should warm up for 3 to 5 minutes and slowly increase the time as you proceed. Treadmill warm up exercise will help you to exercise safely and effectively.
