Suunto X 6M: Another Bright Entry to the Sports Watch Market

Monday, May 11th, 2009

When it comes to sports watch, it will not be an exaggeration to say that people are spoilt for choices. There are just too many good sports watches to choose from. Another bright new entry in this section is the Suunto X 6M.

The watch features a stainless steel dial and genuine leather black straps. This model of watch was specifically designed by the Finnish brand Suunto with Cross sport applications in mind. Hence, various tools which an athlete might find useful in such applications are specifically integrated in the watch. These include barometer, alto meter, thermometer and compass. Other features included in Suunto X6M sports watch are standard watch functions and downloading via its PC port. The downloading option, however can only be activated once the user invests in a separate USB port as it is not accompanied along with the watch.

Sunnto X 6M is a complete platform to interact, meet and make friends with other sports enthusiasts. This can be made possible only when an individual uploads the downloaded data via the software onto the SuuntoSports.com website. The maker website hosts several virtual competitions in which an individual can participate.

The body of Suunto X 6M is made up of plastic, it is subsequently upgraded. The improved version now features a face made up of mineral glass. Similar changes have been made in the interface as well. The improved version is pretty much similar to a mobile phone as far as its operation is concerned. Suunto X 6M is complete with graphical displays and menu systems for better user interface.
